Model: DSC 4000/6000
Features: Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measures the heat flow into or from a sample as it is heated, cooled or held under isothermal conditions. Applications of DSC include the characterization of polymers, fibers, films, thermosets, elastomers, composites, pharmaceuticals, foods, cosmetics, as well as organics and inorganics.
- Characterizing materials during product and process development
- Trouble-shooting product quality issues
- Academic research and post-graduate studies
Model: TGA 4000/8000
Features: TGA is an essential laboratory tool used for material characterization. TGA is used as a technique to characterize materials used in various environmental, food, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical applications.
- TGA system is suitable for Identify and measure solvents that come off during testing to complete characterization in pharmaceuticals
- Plasticizers in polymers can be quantitated and identified by hyphenated techniques in Polymers and Plastics
- Confirm that the products contain the exact material in the products
Model: STA 6000/8000
Features: For simultaneous, real-time measurement of sample weight change and heat flow, count on our easy-to-use simultaneous thermal analyzers (STAs).
With innovative sensor technology and a compact furnace design, you get twice the thermal capability in one compact instrument. And our hyphenated technology assures you of reliable results and simple data interpretation every time.
Our STA instruments are ideally suited for both research and routine applications such as:
- Characterizing inorganics
- Analyzing polymers
- Testing oils
- High temperature applications
Model: DMA 8000
Features:
- The DMA 8000 is flexible and cost effective. Its innovative design, high functionality, and flexible operation make it ideal for advanced research and routine quality testing in the polymers, composites, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
- One of the most unique and useful features of the DMA 8000 is its rotating analysis head, which can be oriented through a full 180° for optimal analysis head configuration for virtually any test type and sample geometry.
- The DMA 8000 permits operation in a “Constant force (TMA) mode” vs. time or temperature. Applications such as expansion coefficient, softening and penetration, or extension or contraction in tension geometry provide valuable data equivalent to many commercial stand-alone TMA instruments.
- The DMA 8000 is using an ultra-efficient cooling system. The instrument can cool to – 190 ºC in 15 minutes using less than 1 liter of liquid nitrogen, providing industry-leading performance.
- The DMA 8000 environmental fluid bath option has been designed as an integral part of the analyzer. The accessory allows true immersion studies on a sample while measuring the dynamic mechanical properties.
Model: TMA 4000
Features:
- The PerkinElmer TMA 4000 is a uniquely designed thermomechanical analyzer (TMA) designed for optimal performance in measuring the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) in materials.
- This rugged and easy-to-use design uses both electronics and a unique Archimedean float system to control the probe, allowing accurate determination of CTE and of transitions.
- In these times of budgetary constraints and changes in material requirements driven by regulations like RoHS, understanding how a material changes with temperature is more important than ever.
- Test methods for TMA are now required for many industries and the TMA 4000 gives you a tool designed to collect this data. Data can be collected from samples in many forms with the TMA 4000’s range of probes including expansion, compression, flexure, extension, and volumetric (dilatometry).
